 | The online publication is a continuity of the printed edition of Lumina, Journal of the Faculty of Communication / UFJF (ISSN 1516-0785), released in July 1998 and completed in December 2006.Lumina is a quarterly academic journal with articles, reviews, research reports and interviews on issues and topics related to the field of communication studies. Lumina’s objectives are: to think the media in its specificity and to question the field of communication as the definition of its object according to the perspectives of the current scientific thought, of its disciplinary framework and of its theoretical lines; to articulate research, teaching and practice aimed at reflecting on the construction of meanings in a context of technological-mediatic, global or focused interfaces; to work with the media to understand the construction and the mutation of identities, especially in the field of culture; to investigate the dynamics of the media and the images that they generate both in social groups and in society in general | ||
