he Fifth National Seminar on Alternative Technologies to Laboratory Animals will be held on June 18–19, 2025, at the International Conference Hall of the University of Science and Culture as an in-person event, with continuing education credits awarded. This seminar is jointly organized by the Vice-Presidency for Research and Technology of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), the Ministerial Committee on Research Ethics of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Royan Institute, the ACECR Research Ethics Committee, and the University of Science and Culture.

The scientific and executive secretaries of the seminar are Dr. Seyed Abolhassan Shahzadeh Fazeli and Dr. Amir Amiri Yekta, both of whom are faculty members at Royan Institute. Key scientific topics of this seminar include absolute replacement methods and relative alternative approaches to the use of laboratory animals. The primary audience includes professionals and students in the fields of medical sciences, life sciences, basic sciences, veterinary medicine, researchers, and educational institutions utilizing laboratory animals.
