The 10th International Conference of Contemporary Affairs in Architecture and Urbanism (ICCAUA2027-Egypt) is an international, multidisciplinary academic conference hosted by the German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt, on 5–7 May 2027. This Egypt edition offers both in-person presentations at GUC in Cairo and online presentations, providing an inclusive platform for researchers, academics, students, designers, engineers, professionals and policymakers to exchange knowledge on architecture, urbanism and the built environment. The conference is organised by GUC in academic collaboration with Alanya University, Istanbul Aydın University and CIAUD.UBI at the University of Beira Interior. Its research scope covers architecture and technology, sustainability and urban design, heritage and cultural landscapes, habitat studies, urban economics, salutogenic architecture, civil engineering, business and tourism management, and human experience and design. Original research papers, case studies, technical reports, reviews and other scholarly contributions are invited. Authors must first submit an abstract in the official Word template by 5 December 2026. Following review and preliminary acceptance, authors may register and submit a full paper by 5 April 2027. Early-bird registration closes on 5 February 2027. Manuscripts undergo double peer review and an additional assessment at the presentation stage. The conference provides an abstract book and full conference proceedings, with selected papers considered for further publication in collaborating journals or edited book chapters subject to the applicable review processes.
