WCN 2018 Conference highlights the theme “Pivotal Role of Nursing in Leading and Advancing Healthcare”. WCN 2018 is an event intended to provide an exclusive platform for new researchers, scholars, nurses, surgeons, physicians, students and educators to showcase their novel ideas and discuss the most recent innovations, trends and key concerns adopted in the field of nursing and healthcare. The two days of the educational program will include keynote presentations, oral presentations, and poster presenters on the advanced techniques as well as papers in all the fields of nursing in health care. WCN 2018 Conference aims to explore advances in nursing practice, management, and education in relation to health disparities as well as a breadth of other topics. WCN 2018 will provide an opportunity for nursing practitioners and educators to exchange research evidence, models of best practice and innovative ideas. The track category is the heading under which your abstract will be reviewed and later published in the conference printed matters if accepted. During the submission process, you will be asked to select one track category for your abstract.

Track 1: Nursing

Nursing is defined as the noble profession of protecting, promoting, optimizing the health, preventing illness and injury, facilitating healing, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. Another important component of nursing care is the scope of patient education and coaching. Nurses take care of patients, render clinical practice and work in groups forming the private health care team to assist patients in learning how to manage their own health. Their activities include addressing topics as healthy lifestyle choices, coping with a diagnosis, or understanding warning signs and symptoms of emerging problems with emotional intelligence. The role of the each and every nurse varies depending on the work environmental setting and the type of patients.

Track 2: Nursing Education

Nursing is service to individual, families and to the society. It is based upon arts and science which molds the attitude, intellectual competencecritical thinking ability and evidence-based teaching skills of the individual nurse, to help people to meet their health needs in medical direction. Nursing is a social institution where an organized group of people working together toward a common goal directly concerned with the welfare of the people. Their key responsibilities include

  • Body-mind-spirit unity

During the course of time, changes have taken place in the field of education, healthcare, sociocultural aspects, science, and technology. There was a need for change in existing systems and beliefs to draw the best and useful aspects of various educational philosophies and one’s one philosophy. With an inherent purpose, internal organization and infinite creativity, achievement of optimum health can be made possible by following the nursing theories in a defined way. Nursing is a crucial component of the multidisciplinary healthcare system which reflects the independent, dependent and collaborative positions of the nurse involving respective functions.

Track 3 : Nursing Practitioner

Nurse practitioner is a nurse possessing a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. This type of provider can be referred to as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. The NP is allowed to provide a broad range of health care services, which may include midwifery and anesthetist. Their duties include,

  • Taking into account of the person’s history, performing a physical exam, and ordering laboratory tests and procedures
  • Diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases
  • Writing prescriptions and coordinating referrals
  • Providing education on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles
  • Performing certain procedures, such as a bone marrow biopsy or lumbar puncture
